Iron Maiden parted company with Blaze Bayley in early February. He was replaced with previous singer Bruce Dickinson. Adrian Smith also returned after a ten year absence to form a six man, three lead guitar line up.
Steve 'Bomber' Harris. Founded Maiden in 1976 in London's east end. The name of the band was inspired by the film 'The man in the iron mask'. Steve is Maiden's main songwriter and will benefit from the return of Bruce & Adrian as I believe Steve's best songs were written in conjunction with them.
Dave Murray & Steve Harris are the only original members of Iron Maiden. The band have had many line-up changes since 1976. Dave has written only a handful of songs over the years.
Bruce 'Air Raid Siren' Dickinson returns for a second spell with Maiden. Bruce origionaly joined in 1982 replacing Paul Di'anno. An excellent frontman, Bruce conqured the rock world for ten years before leaving in 1992 to go solo.
Adrian 'H' Smith is also back for a second spell with the band. Adrian joined in late 1980 replacing Dennis Stratton. He stayed till 1989 but left due to musical differences. In my opinion Adrian was involved in writing the best Maiden tracks, usually with Steve & Bruce.
